The project was initiated by the “Corona” Foundation, Suceava Branch, in partnership with the Cernăuţi Community Organization “Business Center” and the “Romontana” Association being financed by the European Union through the Romania-Ukraine Neighborhood Program 2004-2006, the Phare CBC 2005 component The aim of the project was to develop the operational capacity of intervention of the responsible actors in the border region in order to protect the quality of surface waters and to increase the level of awareness and information of the public on cooperation on this line. The Corona Foundation, the Suceava branch in partnership with the Romontana Association and the Aron Pumnul Scientific-Pedagogical Association (Ukraine), have carried out the project “Environment Plus – Reducing Environmental Impact, Problems and Cross-Border Solutions”. It took place between October 2007 and September 2008, with applications in the counties of Suceava and Botosani in Romania, as well as in the Chernivtsi region of Ukraine. Funding was provided by the European Union through the Romania-Ukraine Neighborhood Program 2004-2006, the Phare CBC 2005 component.
